Had a baggie of cough drops in my purse forever. Took it out a week ago. Now I have a raging sore throat and I can't find them anywhere. Figures.
Head Splitting open. In much Pain. Hopefully some ibuprofen and a hot shower will help ease some of my symptoms.
Forgetful
I have never been good at keeping diaries. Well, I wouldn't say never. I have some old journals that I managed to keep up for a while. I wish I still had the stick-to-it-ivness to keep these things up.
My last full post was done a couple months after my surgery. It's been almost a year since my surgery. I am at 70 lbs lost. That's pretty good. I have tapered off with my weight loss, and to be quite honest, it's because I haven't been diligent in my endeavors. I stopped going to my surgeon every six weeks for my weigh ins. Those kept me accountable to keeping up with my progress. I received good advise on what I should be focusing on during any given stage of my journey. I haven't seen my doctor since the day before Thanks Giving 2008. I should make an appointment. It will kick my butt back into getting on track with things. At least I haven't gained any weight back. I have just stopped loosing.
Struggles I have faced since that last post... I lost my job last October. It was a detrimental blow to my psyche. This was when I stopped being diligent with my weight loss. By Thanks Giving I had found another job doing the same thing at a different center. I was let go on my first day. Second blow to my psyche. A month later I got a job that I am still doing right now. It's not been easy, and it has been very hard. I had to learn a lot of new things, I have a longer commute, and I have to get up REALLY early. Every day I go into work I thank GOD that I have a job to go to. It's not the most glamorous of jobs, but it pays the bills and keeps us working toward our goals.
I have this set up to receive my status updates, so my activity will greatly increase on this account.
